Sisterhood Society PDX is a Facebook group designed for midlife women located in the PNW, giving them a space to meet, connect, collaborate, and build friendships. It’s a great place to find out about local gatherings (including those hosted by us!), connect with women-owned businesses in the area, and be part of an inclusive community that only asks you to come as you are.
For all of our sisters around the world, we have a separate Sisterhood Support group on Facebook that gives women a place to continue the conversations that we start in our magazine each month. It’s a place to tell your own story, ask questions, or share a resource or piece of encouragement that helped you. This supportive online space is there to remind you that you aren’t going through midlife alone.

Sisterhood Society PDX is the community and events side of Sisterhood. It was created to bring women together in real life through gatherings that feel welcoming, supportive, and meaningful. For our sisters that live or travel to the Portland area, we’d love to see you at our next event!
Our events are designed for women who want to meet new people, build friendships, support women-owned businesses, and network with purpose. Our events are meant to be fun and low-pressure, and we encourage ladies to wear what’s comfortable and leave when they’re ready.

August Volunteer Event - Social Club PDX
Come to our first volunteer event that will support local families whose children have cancer and are going through treatments. This farm experience not only supports the kids who have cancer but their families as well.
Embrace Compassion is a 501(c)(3) charitable organiztion recognized since 2011, thriving through community support and volunteer efforts. Their farm experience program serves children in cancer treatment and their families on 2.5 acres in Sherwood, where they grow food, offer gardening education, art projects, and create a safe community for children with low counts from chemotherapy. They have cultivated a vibrant farm featuring 500+ dahlias, grapevines, blueberry shrubs, veggie garden boxes, and various animals, including goals and chilckens. They host 80-100 people for their Farm Experience Saturdays, helping families affected by cancer find respite and connection.
There is a participation fee of $15, which will be collectively donated to the Embrace Compassion on that Sunday. Each adult volunteer will have the chance to create and take home a quart-sized jar filled with 10-15 beautiful dahlias.
